Why cleaning matters more than the finish
A premium PVD finish is only as good as the cloth that touches it. Most finish damage seen on returned tapware comes not from water or age but from the wrong cleaner and the wrong cloth.
Soft water, hard water and coastal salt each leave different deposits, but the cleaning principle is the same: lift the dirt, do not scratch the surface.
The daily routine
After use, rinse the mixer with clean water and dry it with a soft microfibre cloth. Thirty seconds a day prevents limescale and water spotting on every finish, including matt black.

What to avoid
Acidic, abrasive and chlorine-based cleaners are the most common cause of finish failure. They etch PVD, cloud chrome and strip the texture from brushed surfaces.

- No spray bathroom cleaners left to dry on the surface
Finish-specific care
Brushed finishes are wiped along the grain so the cloth follows the existing texture. Polished chrome takes a light circular buff. Matt black is the least forgiving of water marks, so drying it promptly matters more than any product.
